Prototech Electronics is a thriving family based business in West
Bay, Bridport started in 1991 and owned by Simon Guppy.Serving a wide area of Dorset and beyond, the shop offers a range from Plasma Screen Televisions and DVD's down to leads and accessories. The company started by selling reconditioned and graded televisions and audio equipment and repairing a huge range of home entertainment machines. It soon became clear that not all equipment was worth repairing and so Prototech Electronics began to sell new. As the sale in new products expanded, Simon was approached by the leading manufacturers to sell and service their brands. The company is now service agents for brands such as Panasonic, Philips, Samsung, Hitachi, Toshiba and JVC. They also carry a wide selection of audio and video leads and aerials and cable as well as smaller items such as portable radios and tape players. Hard work, long hours and a belief in good workmanship has built Simon a solid customer base, which includes visitors from as far a field as New Zealand as well as those with holiday homes in the area and caravan owners.
